Soccer bets are based on results after 90 minutes of play, sometimes referred to as regular time or regulation, which includes any time added by the referee in respect to injuries and other recent stoppages. Any overtime or penalty shoot-outs do not count towards these bets since they are not considered regular time. In the sample above, USA is the underdog at +460 and Mexico is the favorite at -145. On this type of three-way betting if the game ends in a tie all team action is a loser and a wager on the draw would be a win.

This type of betting eliminates the option of the Draw, and if this wager ends in a Draw the bet is refunded (like a 'push' in spread sports). This type of two-way betting is also used for tournament games, and a winner has to be named. If the game ends in a Draw after the 90 minutes and added extra time and then is decided by penalty kicks then the winner after the PKs is cashed as a winning ticket.

Betting Goal Lines is similar to betting the two-way moneyline. The Goal Line is a way for bettors to win a bet on multiple outcomes of the game. Goal Lines are similar to Baseball Run-Lines , Hockey Puck-Lines and Point Spreads in football . A Goal Line is typically 0.5 goals, but sometimes the oddsmakers will post a -1.0 spread and if that soccer game ends in a 1-0 final the bet is a 'push' and the wager is refunded. In the sample above, if you bet Manchester United -1.5 goals then Manchester United needs to win this game by two goals or more. If you bet Manchester City +1.5 goals, then Manchester City can either win the game outright or lose by 1 goal or less for your wager to cash.
Betting Totals
Betting soccer totals is the same as betting baseball totals and hockey totals. Scoring is minimal in all soccer matches, and bookmakers will often set a total of 2.0 or 2.5; if the total is 2.0 and the final is 1-1 or 2-0 you have a refund. If the oddsmakers post a total of 2.5 and you bet 'over' then the teams will need to score three goals or more to cash your total ticket. If the total is set at 2.5 and you bet 'under' then you need two or fewer goals.
